WriSoMiFu - Day 4
Again a little late, but still before I go to bed. Yay I did 821 Words. Today we have 2 ficlets: Severitus and Homophobia

Title: Ancestry

Harry smiled at the Ministry owl as it offered its leg to be relieved of its parcel. The bird accepted the strip of bacon and then flew out of the house.

Harry sipped his morning coffee as he untied the string and opened the package. On top of the pile of parchment were the birth registry forms.

Ginny looked ready to burst with their first child and she had charged Harry to get all the respective paperwork in order. Under the birth registry forms was a copy of Ginny’s birth certificate.

Harry grabbed a bite of toast and then pulled out the last piece of parchment, his own birth certificate. He had never thought to get a copy of it before, but the birth registry forms required one from each parent. It also required that the ancestry of the child be recorded, to the third degree.

As Harry looked over his birth certificate the toast dangled from his mouth and then fell to the table. He felt a rush of heat over his body and his head began to spin. He pushed back from the table and staggered to the bathroom and was violently ill.

As he lay with his cheek against the cool porcelain he tried to make sense of what he saw. It couldn’t be possible, Harry James Potter – Mother: Lily Evans nee Potter, Father: Severus Tobias Snape.

Snape couldn’t be his father, not after what they had done together. Vivid images of him and Severus kissing, touching, fucking ran through his thoughts. Harry felt sick again, surely Severus didn’t know.

He was reluctant to accept Harry’s advances, but he accepted them, with fervour. Their tryst had lasted almost six months, and Harry had wanted to take it further, to get married. Severus had smirked and told Harry,

“But you won’t have a father to walk you down the aisle.” Then he rolled Harry over and silenced his protests with kisses.

After that night Severus broke up with Harry and told him that he should marry Ginny and have a family of his own. Harry was upset and Severus kissed him goodbye for the last time and he whispered,

“Harry you should take after your father, have a beautiful baby boy, love him, and then leave him to find his own way in the world.” Harry smiled at Severus, hugging him tightly,

“I will, Severus.”

Summary: Harry, Severus and Ron meet up in Diagon Alley

On a rare meet up with Harry and Severus, Ron found himself smiling seeing them together. Harry had finally realized that Severus was the man for him and he couldn’t look happier. Severus even has an expression of, well, if not happiness, he appeared less dour then usual.

Harry and Severus lead the way into Diagon Alley and Ron followed behind. As they entered the Alley, Severus reached over and took up Harry’s hand.

Harry looked down at their joint hands and then fairly beamed at Severus. The corner of Severus’ lips lifted up and Ron could see the doting expression on his face.

Ron walked behind the couple a huge grin on his face. After everything those two had been through, they deserved this happiness.

As they passed the other shoppers Ron noted that a few people glared at Harry and Severus’ joined hands. One witch saw the couple walking toward her and she pulled her child against her and covered the little boy’s eyes. Ron frowned at the way some people were acting. Some people even hedged away or ever crossed the street.

Ron noted Severus straightened his spine and his free hand dip into his pocket where his wand was kept. They passed a store and a teenager muttered,

“Damn poofters” Ron gasped and turned to call out the teen, but Severus already had his wand drawn. Severus stalked up to the teen and levelled his wand and hissed,

“Care to say that to my face, I dare you.” The teen looked terrified and gaped like a fish out of water. “I would like to suggest that anyone who takes issue with my relationship with Mr. Potter have the courage to confront me personally and not mutter derogatory slurs under their breath.” The teen nodded,

“Yes sir, I mean, no sir, I-” Harry reached up and placed a hand on Severus’ wand arm and lowered it slowly.

“Come now Severus, it’s not like we are facing down Voldemort again.” The gathered crowd flinched at the name and the reminder that these two poofters had fought directly against the darkest wizard of the age.

The teen looked properly cowed and after a nod from Harry he took off running away from Severus.

Severus pocketed his wand, then swept one of his piecing 'Professor Snape' glares over the crowd and they quickly dispersed.

He turned to Harry and took up his hand again and they continued on their way.

Ron smiled at their backs, they might be poofters, but they were also lovers.
