Harry stood at the door smiling as he looked into the room. Lying on the plush rug in front of the hearth was his husband.
Harry stepped into the room and quietly sat across from Severus. Severus was on his side, his body curled around the toddler in his arms.
Harry stroked his hand down Severus’ flank and then brought it to rest on the cheek of their son. The fever had broken and Harry sighed in relief.
He lay down, as he settled strong arms came around him pulling him closer.
As their son snuggled between them, Harry smiled.
